Read Philippians 2.19-30
“.. he almost died for the work of Christ ..” (Phil.2.30)
Two ordinary men transformed by the gospel as they bowed before Jesus as Lord: a powerful two-fold witness to the truth of the message proclaimed by the apostle – this is what Jesus does in a person’s life! We are re-made in His likeness!
In what respects are you able to see this work of the Lord Jesus in your life by His Spirit?
The bonds between the early Christians were strong: do you regard others within your fellowship in this sort of way?
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your saving work in my life. As You continue thus to work in me, help me daily to work out Your salvation that my life may proclaim Your grace.
