Warrior

Read Psalm 120.3-4

“.. what will He do to you and more besides ..” (Ps.120.3)

Words can hurt you, despite what the rhyme suggests to the contrary. The devil knows well what damage and havoc words can cause. On the wrong end of such words, the psalmist appeals to God. Take heart today. The Lord hears. He knows. And He’ll act.

Read 1 Pet.2.23: why can you confidently entrust yourself to the Lord when others have dealt unfairly with you?

How does the reference to the Lord as a ‘warrior’ re-assure you when you’re so very aware of the spiritual battles you face?

Prayer: Following You, Lord Jesus, can sometimes feel like an uphill struggle: thank You that the victory is already Yours and help me to press on today in that confidence.
