Victory

Read Philippians 1.27-30

“.. conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ..” (Phil.1.27)

The gospel has at its core the death and resurrection of Jesus: your concern as a believer will be to live in such a way that you reflect the gospel. That will involve a life of self-denying service – and often your suffering too. Don’t be surprised at that!

In what areas of your life does the exhortation to ‘conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ’ challenge you today?

God’s resurrecting power is released through the ‘crucified’ lives of His people: in what ways and to what extent has that been your experience?

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that Your victory has been given to Your people: help me to abound in Your service and demonstrate that victory daily!
