Throne
Read Daniel 7.9-10
“.. As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took His seat ..” (Dan.7.9)
The central reality of all history is depicted here. There is a throne and the ‘Ancient of Days’ sits there. Whatever may be going on in the world around you, the everlasting God is in control, wise, working, and worthy of your worship.
What does the ‘picture language’ used here tell you about God?
Moses “persevered because he saw Him who is invisible” (Heb.11.27): how might you better train yourself to keep your eyes on the invisible God?
Prayer: Lord, keep me from being distracted by events going on around me: help me to fix my eyes on Yourself and live in the light of Your throne.
