Grace

Read 1 Corinthians 1.4-9

“I always thank God for you because of His grace given you in Christ Jesus ..” (1 Cor.1.4)

God’s saving work in our lives is all of grace: from beginning to end. Through the grace of God believers are both wonderfully converted and then abundantly gifted: and that grace of God ensures we will be constantly sustained and gloriously perfected.

In what ways can you see that as a fellowship ‘you have been enriched in every way’ in Christ Jesus?

Paul described Christians as those who “who have longed for His appearing” (2 Tim.4.8): is your perspective one in which you are ‘eagerly waiting’ (v.7) for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed?

Prayer: Help me, Father, to live in the light of the coming of Jesus: keep me from being distracted by the fleeting things of this present age and to live towards the future.
